First full day

Whew! It has been an awesome day!! Last night I slept well, with my ear plugs in of course (roosters here have no concept of time). This morning I woke up got ready and went to start breakfast. I was going to have eggs, but has a turned on the stove I found out the pilot light was out, so I had peanut butter and bread. I packed my lunch (Nutella sandwich and a granola bar), had some down time then walked to the Bundy's to leave for school. At school this morning I did Math and reading with Kindergarten and acted has a Midianite as we acted out the story of Gideon, then this afternoon I graded in Mrs. Z's first and second grade class (the class I worked with last time.) Right now, I am with Brianna and a little boy from school while the rest of the Bundys are in Saccanville at a prayer meeting. Brianna is not feeling well and we are waiting for the little boy's aunt to pick him up, so we are watching Dora. Oh, and there is a gecko in my house.

So far it has been great, sweaty, but great. We have the rest of the week off from school so I am going to be burning some DVDs and doing another project for Angie, then I'll be with the kids in the afternoon while Brett and Angie are in meetings.

I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for me the rest of the time I am here.

My ear still has not popped and this cold is getting worse, please keep praying. I hope all is going well at the church so far!

  1. You are off to a good start. I am certain Brett and Angie are appreciating you. Haiti and sweat, those two words always go together don't they? Pop that ear and fight off the cold. Mark and Betty

  2. Things are fine, but you are absolutely not allowed to stay. You are missed! I am praying for the remainder of your trip. I am praying that you would accomplish all that God has prepared for you to do. Blessings my sister!
